Hello Fellow Rockhounds…
We have a full complement of equipment for all our activities. We continue to make changes to our facilities so we can offer our members a variety of classes.
We rely on membership fees, class fees, and fundraisers to keep our club going. Our biggest fundraiser is our raffle during Pow Wow (the Annual Gem and Mineral Show in Quartzsite). We give away 140 donated items during the five-day show, one every 15 minutes.
Field Trips/Rockhounding trips are scheduled every week, ATV/Side by Side trips are scheduled at by-weekly as long as there is a Leader available.
We give back to the community of Quartzsite through a variety of activities. We conduct a road clean-up twice a season, offer a scholarship to several graduating local students, and participate in a clean-up at Celia’s Garden (a memorial park) once a season.
We also sponsor a monthly pancake breakfast, Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners, desert cookouts, and a float in two of Quartzsite’s parades.
