The OpalRroom is in the Annex building next to the Craft Barn. We are fortunate to have several well qualified instructors helping out with the classes.
We have a variety of opals available for you to work with. This includes a variety of colors of lab-grown opal, natural opal from several locations around the world and a learning environment that is progressive from our beginning class to intermediate and an open lab. You may also work on your own opal, if you have some. We encourage you to get into that place where you put that opal you got years ago and stashed away waiting for the courage and guidance to cut and polish it.
Sign up sheets for opal classes are posted in the hallway in front of the opal room. So come on in and try your hand at cutting and polishing nature’s rainbow gemstone.
Equipment available for opal cutting includes flat laps + supplies and hand tools.
